WATERSHEDD is a passionate Architecture, Interior Design and Property Development company specialising in new build properties across the UK. Our approach to design is unique, collaborative and innovative; creating simple yet beautiful homes that bring the family together.
in its detail and use of material, our architecture reflects nature and the rugged landscape. Each project responds closely to the surroundings creating bespoke outcomes for every site and more than ever we are striving to encourage sustainable building solutions.
The company originated from a strong passion for the Cornish lifestyle with its beautiful landscape, rich culture and the energy of the Atlantic coast. The constantly changing landscape directly informs our entire design process.
We aim to use natural, sustainable, locally sourced materials and traditional craftsmanship in each of our projects. Our design ethos has since expanded across the UK with a strong belief that our carefully crafted designs positively influence and compliment the beautiful landscape scenery.
One of the selected projects showcased on our website is the beautiful new build ‘Sand Dunes’ located in Mawgan Porth, North Cornwall. This family orientated, beachfront holiday home owned by one of Watershedd Architects founders, Marzouk, demonstrates a live example of what we are all about. The project has become a catalyst for our design ethos, aiming to marry beautiful aesthetics with practical living, using local craftsmen and sustainable design to help blend the building seamlessly into the sand dunes that surround it.
In 2016, Sand Dunes went on to win RIBA’s ‘SouthWest Award’, the UK’s most prestigious architecture award, and in the same year also won ‘The Daily Telegraph Award for Home Building’ as well as ‘The Sunday Times Award for Interior Design’.

Interior Design
Specialising in creating lifestyle interiors that reflect the natural surrounding landscape, we undertake a complete interior design service to ensure that our vision is not lost through the interior spaces. Luxury of humility drives our purpose to create balance from within.
We firmly believe the interior design of the home is as important as the architecture itself and the two elements go hand in hand. Interior design and styling can have a profound effect on the overall feeling of the spaces and we like to make sure this is carried on through all the details, fixtures, fittings and accessories. Working with you through the process to create highly personalised spaces.
Architecture
We offer a full range of architectural services: from initial site feasibility studies through the planning phase, to construction and project completion. We work closely with local contractors to ensure each project is delivered to a high standard.
Sustainability plays an important role in all of our projects as we strive to avoid waste and improve the energy performance of new buildings, creating environmentally friendly spaces without compromising on design.

As a company, we are involved in realising our own architectural projects within the Cornish countryside.
We understand that finding the perfect site for your new home can be a challenge, so we offer preliminary consultation services to help you explore site potential from a planning and design perspective.

Concept
Design
We will work with you to refine the brief and work out what is possible on the site before proceeding to prepare an initial concept design for discussion. Once you are happy with the proposals we will then develop the design and review any planning implications.

Planning
Applications
We will guide you through the planning and building regulations process and advise on what consents are required at each stage. We will prepare a full set of planning documents and submit these to the council for approval.

Construction
Information
Once planning has been granted we will work with you to add the finishing touches to the design and prepare a detailed set of drawings which can be issued for pricing. Once these are ready we will coordinate the pack and advise on suitable contractors for each project.

Construction
Phase
We will monitor the works on site and work with the contractors and design team to make sure the project is delivered in a timely and efficient way to make the process as smooth as possible.
