Embedded in the rolling hillside overlooking Mawgan Porth beach, Dynargh is a private seaside retreat, sensitively designed to embrace the natural contours of the land while maximising views out over the rugged Cornish coast.
From the approach, this contemporary house in Mawgan Porth appears as a trio of beach hut inspired cabins, while the ocean-facing facade reveals a further two stories, clad in a combination of locally sourced stone and black timber.
The farthest left of the cabins hosts a self-contained guest annexe, with a bathroom, kitchenette and large double bedroom leading out onto a private balcony. Access to the main dwelling is gained via a set of central stone steps, which offer only subtle hints of the home’s stunning views until the front door opens to reveal the full panoramic expanse.
Once inside, a reception area guides you into a large contemporary living space, with uninterrupted terrazzo concrete floors suggesting a seamless transition between kitchen, dining and lounge areas, each oriented towards the large ocean-facing windows.

“Sensitively designed to embrace the natural contours of the land while maximising views out over the rugged Cornish coast”
A single internal staircase leads up to the second floor and a pair of spacious bedrooms, each with access to a large shared balcony, set back a little to maximise privacy and preserve the aesthetics of the western elevation.
Entering the garden from the first-floor living area, steps trace the gentle slope down to the lower ground floor, where indoor and outdoor showers combine with a dedicated surfboard room to create the perfect entry point after a day at the beach and a guest bedroom, kitchen and cinema room complete the space.
