Set back from the beautiful beach of Mawgan Porth on Cornwall’s north coast, sits Sand Dunes, an Award winning new build home.
Spread over three buildings, every aspect of the property has been designed and built to complement the beauty of the natural landscape, using a range of locally sourced materials.
Clad in impressive Cornish stone, the central dwelling is arranged across two stories, featuring five bedrooms and a cinema room. From the ground-floor entrance, a bold contemporary living space opens up to reveal intricate design and modern architectural features concealed by the modest facade. Ahead, the floor to ceiling windows flood the space with light and direct attention towards the uninterrupted expanse of sea, sky and rugged granite cliffs.
Moving from north to south, a large kitchen and dining area transitions to a cosy sunken lounge, set around a fireplace, with each space expressly designed to bring people together.
Beyond the full-height glass doors and across the lawn, a private path leads off to the beach, while a two-storey pool house clad in locally sourced black timber rises to the right. Inside, a pair of bedrooms sit above a dedicated surfboard room and spa pool, designed as a convenient and relaxing space after a day in the outdoors.
